Classical Concert in a Church at Paris

In order to adjust back to Paris time, I woke up at nine in the morning.  Kind of the first time in Paris do I wake up so early.  I even had my breakfast.

Called up a few friends in Paris but they were either not in or fast asleep.  I was fed up and went out alone.  As always, Virgin Megastore . Never know that they only open at twelve on Sundays.  Nothing really exciting (except one record Savage Garden) therefore I proceed to WH Smiths.  And they only open at one-thirty.

Didn’t buy another album, nor any book.

Returned to the hotel finding that Grace has left two messages for me.  An invitation to a classical music in one of the churches in Paris.

The music was good.  Have my favourite – “The Four Seasons”.  Not to forget that I have watched “Romeo and Juliet” again.

We all had French dinner together.

So You Love My Poems?

Aurore was not in the office today (and tomorrow as well) so I walked into the office pretty late.  Anyway I had nothing better to do.  Not exactly right, I need to pass the ticket number to Ginger and tomorrow will be a public holiday in Singapore.

And I have got my business class ticket to US.  Wow!

Tonight, they have arranged a birthday party (dinner) for Grace, our AC project manager and Oliver, the BNP project manager.  Coincidentally, their birthdays fall onto the same day which is tomorrow.

The dinner was at 8:30 pm.  I left the office at six and returned to the hotel in order to download the SWIFT stuffs for Alvin.  Took me quite a while.  And planned to go the WH Smith and get some English books or/and magazine.  Reached there after seven, thinking that it will still be opened but it was closed at seven. Shame, could have made it.

Took a nice walk and sat somewhere near to the restaurant.  Waited for more than an hour and the BNP project manager arrived first.

The food was nice (French food) and I thoroughly enjoyed the dinner.  Grace told me that she loves my poems.  I was speechless.  There was ten of us altogether. What a crowd!

Still thinking of the show “Romeo + Juliet” the whole day.  See, what kind of impact has it done to me ?!

From 4 to 4

Slept at 4 am and got up at 4 pm.  What a life!  I think I am getting very obsessed with my new short story.  I planned to go WH Smiths today but never managed to get up.  What a waste.

Had a big dinner at TGI Friday’s.  Nothing else.  Out.

A Sunday at the Bookstore

They knocked at my door twice.  Never found out who there were.  Probably someone wanted to make my room.  Reminded me of those good University days when someone tried to wake me up in a lazy weekend afternoon.

A very horrifying dream.  A very pretty girl kissing me while another guy playing with my dick.  Totally terrifying.  Must be “inspired” by one of the chat I had with a bisexual kid.  Yuck!

I planed to go to an English Bookstore (WH Smiths) this afternoon, and I did.  And also I discovered that they do open during Sundays.  I had my late lunch (5 pm) at one of the café.  Actually a very nice atmosphere.  I sat at the center of the café and since today was quite a warm day, they “opened” up the entrance.  Just like those coffee shops in Singapore.  The music was right and it was nice to see people walking past, from a distance.  I had a movie on my mind and maybe one day I should turn that into a fiction.

As expected, I couldn’t stop myself from spending money in a bookstore.  Bought a very nice Valentine’s Card, Q Magazine and a novel.  I thought I would buy some new fiction but in the end, I didn’t Yes, I bought a classic novel – “The Portrait of a Lady”.  Never know that the film was made from a classic.  So I bought it and hopefully, I will read it as well.

And I watched one of the worst film I have ever seen – “The Crow – The City of Angel”.  The only thing good was that I loved the main actress.  That’s it.

Had a unusual diner.  I asked for Irish Dream (cocktail) and the waitress persuaded me to drink something else.  Wanted a Club Sandwich (as I wasn’t really hungry) and the same waitress persuaded me to take some seafood.  She nearly wanted to persuade me to have another 6 oysters but I said no.  There was a Dutch couple sat next to me and the man turned out to be a politician.  When I paid the bill by VISA, the waiter asked me for tips!  What an usual night.

And now I become a TV addict.  10 pm is Jay Leno’s Tonight Show.  11 pm is another one.  And I finally utilized my TV room which reading Q magazine during advertisement.
