My Good Old Friend

Finally, I can wake up in some undefined time.  Did my laundry by hand and left the house by 1 pm.  The amazing thing is, after losing ways and got to the wrong place here and there, it took me 4 hours to get to see my Kah Lok friend.  Amazing, huh?

Begin to feel like the good old days in UK.  Except that no one is beside me while I drive.

Watch the show, “Good Will Hunting”, alone.

I Drive, I am Lost

After 5, most of the Singapore colleagues of mine fly back to Singapore leaving me and Alvin.  Of course, I would not wish to disturb Alvin as he has his girlfriend to take care of.  While for me?  Well, Lily at first thought of going to shopping with me after 5.  But I guess we all have been seeing each other very often and kind of need a break.  I really do not mind that much as I am kind of used to the idea of being alone all the time.  She is right.  Imagine very often I will just being quiet with no words to say at all.  Most of the time, Jason they all will just fill in the blanks.

So I ventured.  At first I need to fill up my tank.  Took some unconventional turns here and there and there you go, I am lost.  I wanted to visit the Subang Parade as recommended by Jason.  Following the road to the airport, I somehow managed to reach Subang Parade.  Not too fantastic.  And coming back to PJ was a pain.  I really have no idea why I ended up paying twice at the toll station and I am pretty sure that I have somehow went into KL (the V building) and very luckily, got the correct exit and home run.

Tomorrow, will see Kah Lok.  Wonder how that guy looks like.

We Move, Because of Our Loved Ones

I really miss those good old days in BUN.  People in this project do not understand me at all.  I am wondering why some people can earn respect just like that.  As for me, my moment has yet to come.  Wonder what will happen when my whole army of subordinate arrives.

Argument and argument.  Don’t really think that Kenny and I can mix well with each other.  Fighting for power, I suppose.

Tonight, our group has become Lily, Yen Pin, Jason and me.  Wondering if Lily is having her own social circle at all.  Maybe, just maybe, since she is from New Zealand and come to KL because of her loved one.  Something like last thing I have decided to come to Singapore because of my ex-loved one.

Karaoke

Whole day very sleepy.  As far as work is concerned, it is pretty boring.  Reading BIM all the time and try to churn out some useless documents.

My Singapore Citizenship is still pending and am still waiting for it to come true.  So long never have any response from them.  Wonder what has been going on.

Jason is sick today.  Alvin has to go back and accompany his girlfriend.  And because of the bad weather, the seafood trip was cancelled.  Ended up with Kenny, Yen Pin, Lily and me eating some home made pasta and to round up the night, we had Karaoke.  It would been better if we have more people joining us. Not too expensive as well.

No One Can Put up with Me

Yen Pin complaint that the small bed has somehow “injured” his feet.  Or something like that.  In the end, he has decided to move into Alvin’s apartment.  Same problem.  Rooms.

Went to dinner in yet another mall.  Lucky Jason not with us today.  The car was just nice for 5 of us including Alvin’s girlfriend, Jacqueline.  She is kind of very thin and very quiet.  Must be shy.

Today, my mood really went haywire.  Did not even speak a single word throughout lunch time.  No wonder so hard to find someone to put up with me.  No wonder.

Supper Time

Last night, Jason and I drove out for supper and returned at 2 am.  Hence not came as a surprise that I could not get up in the morning.  Twenty minute late to be exact.  And Alvin Koh was even more classic.  Jason went up to call him and Alvin took more than ten minute to come down.  We all joked that he was having a quickie.

Kenny joined us today.  Cool.

Lily is such a nice lady.  Showing us around again.  Lovely, lovely.

I Begin to Like Malaysia

Social life being an expatriate is definitely something worth looking forward to.  Especially having such a big group of people around us.

A mobile phone seems to be one of the necessity for having a decent social circle.  Tonight, we all went out for a dinner led by Lily.  Adeline left a bit earlier then us promised to join us a little bit later.  Lily asked me to give my phone number to her but she gave hers to me instead.  Alvin quickly summoned me later on and told me that it is a “sign”.  Sign?  Can’t see.

All of us feeling hunger and could not wait.  So we persuaded Alvin to take his work and finish it during the ride to KL.  Man, what a real consultant.  Have to work during the traffic jam.

After eaten a lot of food, Adeline took a taxis and went home.  Lily had to lead us out of KL.  Just when we were walking towards the car park, Adeline called me and told me that she has left the organiser in the hawker centre.  Yen Pin, Alvin and me took a long walk and found her organiser.  But we couldn’t find the key.  Anyway, in the end, she arrived in Merz and took the organiser.

Interesting girl.  What an eye contact during lunch time.

Lily called and said goodnight. Isn’t that sweet?

I begin to like Malaysia.

I Started Driving Again

As far as I can remember, two things happened today.  First of all, after the whole morning of waiting and waiting, my mobile phone suddenly worked right after lunch.  Not bad.  I am very pleased about it.

The other thing is that I drove Alvin Koh from the office to our apartment and back to the office after lunch.  Well.  Such a long time since I’ve driven.  Those good UK time.

Life continues to be interest.  Not lonely no more.  In fact, I don’t feel like flying back to Singapore this weekend.  We shall see.

A New Beginning in Malaysia

First day working in the new AC KL office.  Kind of disappointing with Malaysia.  Maybe it is not really fair to compare it with the AC JKT but everything in Jakarta seems so classy.  And the apartment especially.

As said by Alvin Koh, seems to us that “all eight legs” have to tie together as there is only one car at the moment.  To me, I think it is not much of a problem as I do have great companies here.  Hate to be alone, you know.  Friends are important.  And just like tonight, three of us watching Cantonese TV together, quite fun.

Being obsessive, or anything you wish to say, I have got my Malaysian SIM card now.  Truly mobile.  Kind of.  We shall see how my social circle is going to be developed from now on.

Swamped

It has been exactly three weeks which I have not been writing any diary.  Surprising how time flies and how much I have lost touch with my inner self.

So what has happened in this three weeks’ time.  A lot.

In terms of work, it has gone quite okay.  Or more correctly, more bearable.  But in terms of my love life, it is still in a mess.  Last night had a minor argument with CC.  She doubts if she is still the most important person in my world.  And of course she is!  Think about all the sleepless night because of her.  But work really gets in between our relationship.  How sad it is.  I just hope that it will turn better as time goes by.

Edit 2008.05.12: Now that I read this, it is interesting to see how I am just not able to see something that is so obvious right in front of me.
