Four months and I have no inspiration or whatsoever to write songs. It is frustrating not to write anything. So tonight, I put aside all the potential social obligations, all the nonsense that I would have done in a routine basis. I sat down and tried to write something. Just anything. And then something came into my mind. I started with some pretty funky chord progression and in the end, discarded them into thin air. I am in dire need to produce some fast paced materials (because in live performance, people fall asleep with slow ones sad to say). Out of my comfort zone, I penned down some lyrics and had such a hard time finding the melody to go with it. Oh well, I tried …
PINS INSIDE MY HEAD
It’s not here neither is there
Feeling like fish out of the sea
Intoxicated, without a cause
Falling like peddles onto the tiles
It is not black neither is white
The question within, the query inside
Lost in words struggling inside
Falling into an empty glass
When I am with you I feel the pins inside my head
When I am with you I feel like spinning round and round and I …
I cannot see where we are heading, no matter how I try
I cannot see where I was heading before this night
This path of no return
The air is sweet, it is dark outside
I want to breath but it’s smoky inside
I want to take you somewhere far …
Away from this chaos devouring this passion we may have
Sinking deep into this paradox of what we cannot have
Surfacing from this boundary of our rational minds
Falling deep into this sweetness …
When I am with you I feel the pins inside my head
When I am with you I feel like spinning round and round and I …
I cannot see where we are heading, no matter how I try
I cannot see where I was heading before this night
I cannot see where we are heading, no matter how I try
I cannot see where I was heading before this night

Hi Wilfrid! I’ve got no comments on your new song, actually… I’m only leaving a comment here ‘cos I couldn’t find any other general comment area, and I forgot my username and password 😀 Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I was googling for “Famous Wongs”, “search in Singapore”, and your site came up on the first page! Not the first result though. Actually, it was the last result. BUT it was on the FIRST PAGE!! Isn’t that cool?? You’re a famous wong in Singapore! Okay I’m going to go now. Merry Christmas!
Heeeey… i just left a comment… where did it go??
Daphne – Oh wow … long time no see! So I am sort of famous eh? 🙂 Oh, your comments didn’t appear instantly because they have gone into the moderation queue. Too many spamming these days. And our dear friend M**k still hasn’t added that one reminder at the comment section that “comments submitted are subjected to moderation and will appear after they are approved”. Oh well …
Another depressing song… oh well, keep trying!
This M**k friend… most terrible fellow. How can he miss such an important aspect of a site? 😛
Lol … Darkspore … I am speechless. Tks tks tsk, perhaps I shall buy him lunch one day to bribe for such a feature. Anyway, I am naturally drawn to depression. I guess what’s why some artists are characteristically different from others.
Nice new site! 🙂 Though our dear friend M**k still hasn’t added the reminder yet. :p
Daphne – Thanks for dropping by! You are right. Our dear friend M**k is perhaps working really hard on how to migrate my old articles over? Must not stress him too much. Otherwise he will be on strike … lol.
