And I Finally Into AI

Here in Singapore, our government gives us money to up-skill ourselves and to stay relevant to the job market. One day as I was doing my grocery shopping at a mini-mart next to my condo, there was a counter selling AI courses. If I really want to DIY, I could. But I am lazy. So I have decided to spend zero dollar and sign up for a 4-day course over 4 weekends to learn AI.

So here are some of my takeaways.

  • AI can do amazing things. The key is to provide good prompts and follow-up prompts. You can get a good result from a prompt. You can do a text-to-image, image-to-video, even create a movie script with a prompt that can be used to create videos. The limit is your imagination.
  • Quality AI costs. But if you don’t mind being throttled, i.e. limited quality AI results per day or per account, you can go free.
  • You can be smart and efficient. But you can never outsmart and outrun someone who can leverage on AI better than you do. Even when he or she is not as smart and not as efficient.
  • AI technology moves very fast. There are new tools coming out very often. Few stand out. Most create very lousy results.
