“You always like to do it the hard way” – I get that a lot from the people around me. I have no idea how the hard way always find its way to me. But I think, rewards are earned, not being handed over.
For the record, I don’t seek out the hard way. I would prefer to take a train from one city to another, and then take an excursion trip like what we did in Montserrat. But Cynthia wanted to experience what a road trip would be like in Spain. And so, we rented a car in Barcelona, passing the beautiful coastal towns of Tarragona and Peñíscola, before reaching Valencia.

Talking about the hard way, I have not eaten since I woke up. Eight hours I have spent on this entry. Time to have a real good meal before watching the F1 broadcast at eight!

Darkspore – Oh yes, Spain is very beautiful. And our trip is just scratching the very surface of what Spain offers.
Very nice photographs and Spain is such a gorgeous country. One of our dreams is to visit the Mediterranean in a place exactly like Valencia. Wish I could visit in a couple of years time. And of course…. Paella!

Very nice pictures. i didnt get the time to go down to valencia. was using Barcelona to hopover to Malaga then down to Morocco 🙂

It was just at the tip of my tongue and you know how it feels when you keep on thinking on the same think for days and weeks trying to figure out what it is. Hi Wilfrid, when you next head for Spain, you may want to think about exploring cities in the north like Logrono (Rioja region – really good red and rose wines), Burgos, Leon and Astorga (Castile y Leon). They are all in northern Spain, not many Asian tourists head there but they are really interesting places. Plus Leon is one of the very few places in Spain that serves free tapas with every drink order. (Two other places include Granada and one of the coastal cities in the north). Just my one cent worth. =)
Kerry – Thanks for the tips! Yes, we would love to explore different parts of Spain. I think once our Spanish gets a bit better, we can head to the smaller cities. Maybe we shall visit Spain every other year. Just a concept!
Ya, I like that idea of free tapas on every drink order. We only had it once, in a very Spanish local setting. Thinking of tapas make me hungry right now … ha ha ha.
