Avril Lavigne Live in Singapore!

Avril’s “The Best Damn Tour” is here!  And the 10% early bird discount ends today.  So grab the tickets (S$75-165) now if you so intend to watch.  We are at the 16th row.  See you there!

OK.  I was about to switch off my computer after writing more than one week worth of blog entries.  It suddenly struck me that the early bird discount closes today.  I so love Avril.  A few years ago, I was at the SunTech concert hall when she first visited Singapore.  To say that Cynthia and I felt ridiculous to be surrounded by so many youngsters is a massively super understatement.  But hey hey you you, it is Avril Lavigne and frankly speaking, I care less.

I love her “Best Damn Thing” album despite what others may say.  Now, one crazily embarrassing newsflash is that I have lost her CD.  Yes, I have.  Damn!  Where the heck have I put it?!  I have this bad habit of mixing the CDs into the wrong covers.  To go through the hundreds of CDs of mine to hunt for Avril’s “Best Damn Thing” seems like a daunting task.

Good thing is, I have till September to find it and to memorize the songs!  A piece of cake that is.

Hey hey you you, what are you waiting for?  Go go go and get the tickets now!

I like her debut album best. =) She a little different now. More mellow, less angsty. Heard she doesn’t do ‘live’ very well though.
Nonetheless, Enjoy!

Ivy – Her debut is the best. And the last time she was in Singapore, she merely sang the entire album as it is. So my expectation is on too high on her live performance. I watch some of her live YouTube videos lately and I think she has improved.

It is hard to describe. You have to be there to fill the energy. She is so full of energy. Her 3rd album is much better and more upbeat than her 2nd one. We shall see 🙂

Avril man… but I can’t say I am a big fan. I like a few numbers, like the song about a boy and a girl where the boy became a star… nvm i dunno the title.

You meant to say you couldn’t care less, right?

Darkspore – Right. You read my mind!

Seriously, I know of some artists whom I wouldn’t watch live even I am a big fan of them. Avril is OK. She does a decent job on stage. She has a personality that shines through and she sings decent in live environment. My only reservation is that there is a lack of variation from the recorded album.

Neither is Linkin Park from what I recall. It takes a lot of time investment and skills to create a stage performance that is difference from the recorded album.

i think avril totally rocks too.
i have been listening to her music since her first album!!
and i espicially love her lyrics!!!
=)

arrrh im a big fan of avril. love all her songs! who knows which terminal and when she will arrive in singapore?

Porker – I am sure someone will know. Whenever a big star arrives at the airport, tons of fans will be waiting and welcoming the star. I mean … if I was one, I would also wish to be greeted at the airport by my fans no?

The Straits Times should know … ha ha ha.

lol theres gotta be someone who knows. i doubt the straits times would tell. imagine if they did, there wun be tons of fans, the whole changi airport will be flooded by fans

Poker – How about the PR company for Avril Lavigne Live in Singapore? These are the folks that do the media coverage and marketing for the event right?

Anw my friends say must know where’s avril’s previous performance, I think KL thn she should prob come by sg airlines

Jem – Avril will be in Taiwan (Taipei) on the Sept 5 and in Japan on the Sept 10. So you are are going to camp at the airport … at least you know which terminal to queue at!

Jem – On a separate note, Avril will be performing at the Venetian Arena (Macao) on Sept 26. Actually, if I could choose which venue to attend the concert, the one at Macao would be it.

Jem – No kidding?! Maybe I really should book a ticket to watch her live on that day at Macao!

I think the KL concert is cancelled. Perhaps due to the politician’s’ protest? It’s no longer listed in her website.

no wait… is either 25-27 one of these dates, cos 2 of my friends and one of my cousin birthday is in that 3 day period and one of them has the same birthday as Avril. KL concert shld b over
