The contestants are now able to blog in the Singapore Idol official site. It is sort of interesting to read each of their blogs and sort of learn their real life styles. Some are pretty childish (in a positive cute way), some are pretty angst filled and choatic, and some are very properly written. If I am to simply judge on the amount of support these contestants have based on the amount of comments posted, Mathilda will be the next one out.
Jon, Paul, and Rahimah seems to have a strong fan support. I won’t be surprised if they can go far. Now, the next coming few episodes will justify the theory of how many of those voters actually vote purely based on performance or more.

Isn’t Matilda the one with the good voice? But I think she needs a change in image. After all, this is the entertainment media we’re talking about, and the voters are mostly kids.
Do You Vote? Just Curious …
Ten out of ten people I have talked to who have good opinion on how well the contestants sing, they do not vote. If my observation is valid, the so called votes are mostly come from fans. And fans comment on their idols’ blogs. So I guess using that as a proxy aint that bad. Just a comparison of statistics here (too much football I suppose). The top three most popular contestants who blog have like 70 to 100 comments each. The so-so ones have like 7 to 10 comments each. Matilda has zero.
Guess your theory has been proven wrong. Matilda is da voice… among the hopefuls. But I don’t like her singing style – too aggressive like singing opera like that. She should go train up for opera or musicals. No pop career prospects lah.
Matilda is at bottom 4. She may not be eliminated at round 1 but I don’t think she will last.
Your favourite girl is out! And that clown is still in. Sigh…
